BENNY BLUE - SINGIN' IN THE MORNING b/w MADE CAP

SINGIN' IN THE MORNING

MADE CAP

Just got back prom Paris yesterday and I picked up some great singles while I was over there. This 45 from Benny Blue is totally top notch! The A side sounds glitter band-ish with a really great phasing guitar line. B side ( Made Cap?) is a total Plastic Bertrand one off played at breakneck speed. According to Brain Lapse magazine Benny Blue has an LP out as well but I haven't heard it. Also, if you're record shopping in Paris I highly recommend stopping by Plus De Bruit they had really great stuff and the prices were fair.

  1. Ha, the chorus on 'Made Cap' is just 'Rave 'N' Rock!'

  2. "Made Cap" rules! The Benny Blue 45 I have is a German pressing on Ariola with "Lady Belle Star" on the A-side, a disco-ish number with a hint of new wave (actually really good), "Made Cap" is on the flip. The LP was also called "Lady Belle Star", at least in Germany. Anyone know if the "Mister Racket" 45 is worth a punt?

  5. Cheers Mike. Hmmm, not sure. It's in the same vein as "Lady Belle Star" and that didn't register first time, so...

Jeremy, did you find yourself a Crackers 45 when in Paris?
